The Growcorp life sciences investment firm run by leading businessman Michael Donnelly, is planning to raise €50 million and €75 million in a new venture capital fund later this year.

Growcorp has so far invested in seven companies from an existing €25 million fund – the most recent was last week when the company let a €1.8 million investment at Galway based NeutekBio, developers of diagnostic kits.

Growcorp’s main backers are Irelandia Investments, which is expected to contribute to the new fund, with other investors.
